World Wide Multiple Cover Insurance

Harlocks Pty Limited’s history dates back to the early 1900’s. However, it was first established in Canberra in 1972 under the Harlock International and Harlock and Galli Group of Companies.

Our association with Public Service and Defence personnel has led to many initiatives, with Harlocks being the first to establish major changes in the overseas insurance area.

This Insurance covers your personal effects (except Motor Vehicles and Watercraft) against physical loss or damage anywhere in the World, including Transit, and including General Average and Salvage Contributions.

We strongly recommend that Officers contact our office prior to completing the application form, our insurance representatives are authorised to compare and advise on this form of cover allowing you to make an informed decision.

After completing the application form, forward it to our office with payment or a Departmental Reimbursement Form (depending on the Department). A receipt will be returned immediately in acknowledgement. This receipt should be retained with the Insurance policy for future reference.

Medical and Emergency Repatriation Expenses

Our World Wide Iinsurance policy now includes a new section which covers Medical and Emergency Repatriation Expenses whilst on non-work or leisure related travels.

This new extension means you will now be able to freely holiday around the world and all the important components of a travel insurance policy will be covered.

Specifically Personal effects, Liability, Medical and Repatriation Expenses will all be covered at no additional cost.

Claims

All claims are handled by our office. We require a completed claim form, together with a repair quotation or a repairer’s report for damaged items which can be repaired.

All monies will be deposited to your Australian bank account, with a copy of our correspondence to your bank and a replacement claim form sent to you at your overseas address.

Renewals

An expiry notice will be forwarded to the Insured one month prior to expiry date. This should be noted with any changes and returned with your remittance or a Departmental Reimbursement Form (depending on the Department). A receipt will be returned immediately in acknowledgement. The receipt should be retained with the Insurance policy for future reference.

Application

We recommend that you obtain a copy of our Insurance booklet from the Movements Section of your Department so you are aware of the terms and conditions of the covers.

When completing your application form, we recommend that you contact our office to discuss calculating sums insured and policy definitions. Additionally, we can assist with the submission of the required documentation and ensure that the lodgment process is completed promptly.
