Strategy
Our philosophy is very simple to understand but often very difficult to practice, which is one of the reasons clients retain us to manage their capital.

The first phase of our process is to discuss in detail our clients needs, objectives and risk profile. Once we have a complete understanding of these issues we set about constructing a strategy effectively utilising structures such as family trusts, companies, superannuation funds, pension funds, gearing initiatives, joint holdings or individual holdings. We examine the use of these structures in the context of estate planning, taxation, succession planning and civil liability risk.

We firmly believe, investment decisions and selection can only be undertaken once the correct structures have been implemented as this will, over time, increase returns and lower risk. We pride ourselves on providing clients with a comprehensive knowledge of these structures.

Investment
Our investment philosophy focuses on value and opportunity. We believe in investments that offer stable proven earnings and strong dividend or income returns to investors. We focus on longer term performance and not the short term volatility associated with markets. We focus client portfolios on time in the markets not timing the markets. Again this seems a very simple discipline to follow but it becomes critical when markets experience difficult periods.

The basis for investment is to ensure that capital is not eroded by inflation and to exceed this erosion by some margin. The focus of the portfolios we manage is to achieve a result over and above the accepted and we actively seek unique investment opportunities as part of this process.
