Home Contents Transit Insurance is intended to provide cover for private individual’s possessions whilst in transit to the client’s new home.

Transits can be either within Australia or to/from an overseas destination (subject to acceptance criteria).

Two levels of Cover are offered:

	Cover A (Accidental Damage and Deliberate Acts of a third party;) and
	Cover B (Specified Perils).

Only Cover B is available for individuals moving their own possessions and for live plants. Motor vehicles including boats can be covered under this policy – Cover A is available providing the client provides a pre-shipment inspection/valuation on the vehicle/boat.

Storage incidental to transit (i.e. not requested by the owner) is automatically covered. Self-nominated storage periods (up to a maximum of 6 months) can be added for an additional premium.

Some of the benefits include:

	Temporary accommodation reasonably incurred as a result of an insured peril (regardless of cover option selected), up to 30 days @ $250/day.
	Delayed unpacking clause – 30 days
